Who should consider an assessment?

You may benefit from an evaluation if you or a loved one is experiencing challenges with communication, relationships, work, or independent living and want clarity about what might be underlying these experiences.

  • Wondered about autism spectrum differences in yourself or your adult child
  • Experienced ongoing difficulties with learning, problem-solving, or daily functioning
  • Noticed differences in social interaction or adaptability compared to peers
  • Needed documentation for accommodations at school, college, or work
  • Sooner appointments (avoid long wait times often experienced through other agencies)
  • Confidential evaluations (private pay only — no insurance billing, for those who prefer not to have a diagnosis on file)

Frequently Asked Questions

We know starting the assessment process can feel overwhelming. To make things easier, here are answers to some of the most common questions we receive about consultations, scheduling, and what to expect.

Do you accept insurance?

We are a private-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. Upon request, we can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your plan’s benefits.

Can I use results to request accommodations?

If the evaluation confirms a diagnosis, the written summary may support accommodation requests at school, work, or in the community. Final eligibility decisions are made by the institution.

Are assessments done in person or virtual?

All assessments are conducted in person to ensure accuracy and standardized testing conditions. Consultations and feedback sessions may be done virtually, but the evaluation itself must take place at our office.

When are assessments scheduled?

Assessments are offered on weekdays only. Depending on the scope of testing, they may last from midmorning to midafternoon. Please plan accordingly.

How long is the consultation?

The initial consultation is a 15-minute video call. It’s designed to answer your questions, learn about your needs, and determine whether an assessment is the right next step.

Is this a full neuropsychological evaluation?

No. These are focused limited scope assessments for ASD and/or IDD.

How long does the overall process take?

From the date of the in-person assessment, a feedback appointment is scheduled one month later.
